Eva Iszoro’s Innovative Fusion of Digital Art and Fashion

Eva Iszoro, PhD, is a multifaceted visual artist (digital artist, fashion artist, NFT artist, virtual artist), fashion designer, architect, academic, filmmaker, and pioneering researcher in the field of experimental pattern cutting and virtual reality.

She is the author of ‘ACCIDENTAL CUTTING,’ a groundbreaking experimental pattern cutting method focused on creating original and unique volumes that have not existed until now. This is achieved through abstract, random, and accidental cuts and flat patterns. The method is described in her PhD thesis, and was honored with the Extraordinary Doctoral Thesis Prize from the Polytechnic University in Madrid.

Moreover, since 2020, Eva Iszoro as a virtual creator has been exploring the potential of virtual reality as a means of creating and communicating fashion, as well as generating 3D art virtual textile artworks that correspond to unexpected sculptural volumes occasionally in motion.

 

Currently, as Digital Artist and NFT Artist she seamlessly integrates her professional practice by showcasing ACCIDENTAL CUTTING fashion brand’s virtual collections at prestigious events like London Fashion Week, since 2020, while also being deeply engaged in digital art and films creation. For instance, her crypto artwork ‘Beginnings’ has been longlisted for The Lumen Prize award in 2023. Additionally, this is complemented by her academic roles at King Juan Carlos University and the Design School in Madrid.

Since 2006, she has worked almost exclusively on her own, occasionally collaborating with other architects and designers.
